Challenge
The client was using OTBI for Oracle HCM Cloud reporting, which was suited for real- time analytics but not ideal for analyzing historic data or predictive analytics. They were evaluating Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse to gain these advanced analytics capabilities and planned to implement it for Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle ERP Cloud in the future.
Solution
The client wanted to analyze their historical data and perform predictive analytics, which was not possible using just OTBI. IT Convergence worked closely with the client’s Business and IT teams to understand their requirements and recommended a combination of Oracle FAW and OTBI.
A proof-of-concept for Oracle FAW was easy to set up and offered vast prebuilt content, including several KPIs, visualizations, workbooks, dashboards, etc. There was no need to build a data warehouse from scratch or to invest in another analytics tool. Oracle FAW offered powerful analytics capabilities, integrating data from a wide range of data sources, and could support cross-functional analytics which was not possible with OTBI.
